서현진, 임지규 등이 출연하는 음악영화 ‘요술’은 지난달 모든 촬영을 마치고 현재 후반 작업에 한창이다. CJ엔터테인먼트가 ‘요술’의 배급을 맡아 올해 상반기중으로 개봉일정을 조율하고 있는 중이다.
구혜선은 2008년 단편 ‘유쾌한 도우미’를 만들며 연출자로서의 가능성을 인정받았지만 영화는 정식 극장 개봉은 되지 못했다. 이번 ‘요술’을 통해 처음으로 일반 관객들과 만나게 된다.
‘요술’은 젊은 음악가들의 사랑과 우정에 대한 이야기로 구혜선은 시나리오, 연출, 음악, 연기까지 1인4역을 맡았다. ‘과속스캔들’의 김준영 촬영감독, ‘눈에는 눈 이에는 이’의 신명진 조명감독 등 베테랑 스태프들이 함께 했다.
‘Magic’, actress Koo Hye-Sun’s debut film as a director, is to be released in theaters during the first half of this year.
The filming of ‘Magic’, starring Seo Hyun-Jin and Lim Ji-Gyu, has been completed last month. CJ Entertainment, the distributor of the film, is working on setting the premiere date in the first half of this year.
Koo Hye-Sun’s potential as a director has been acknowledged with her short film ‘The Cheerful Helper’ in 2008, yet the film wasn’t shown at theaters. Therefore, she is meeting with the audience for the first time through ‘Magic’.
‘Magic’ portrays young musicians’ love and friendship, and Koo Hye-Sun is contributing in various areas of the film including the script, directing, music and acting. Kim Joon-Young, the director of photography of ‘Speed Scandal’, and Shin Myung-Jin, the gaffer of ‘Eye for an Eye’, have collaborated as staff.
